We booked Miki a visit to the vet, and the appointment is today. They have to draw some blood, make tests, and hopefully vaccinate him. He won’t be very happy, we know, although he has been a regular patient since they saved his life and knows the doctors really well.
They are always very nice to him and give him treats, but he doesn’t like needles. He is also scared of the syringes since we had to feed him through his mouth when his jaws were broken. We will never find out what happened to him and who hurt him so bad, but he made an incredible recovery. Still some bad memories from the pain surface sometimes when he sees a syringe. Poor boy, we just can’t save him from this!
When Miki recovered, he was microchipped, he got a passport, and he was vaccinated against rabies, but he has never been tested and vaccinated against feline leukemia and cat flu. Both are very contagious and dangerous diseases. We are following the doctor’s recommendation to have him vaccinated against both. There are many outdoor and stray cats living in the neighborhood, and they are often coming to our front door. We have to take measures and protect Miki because we can pass the viruses in the house without even knowing. We hope his blood results are fine so he can get a combined vaccine against cat leukemia and cat flu. We try to do what’s best for him, although he does not always agree with us.
In our video Visit to the Vet, link below, you will see how brave he was in the clinic. He never meowed or scratched anyone. He has always been like that - a fluff of love! Despite the fact he was probably hurt by a human, he still loves and trusts everyone. He is so easy to love!
We hope you like our video, and if you have a cat and love it the way we love our Miki, please, consider vaccinating it against these diseases. They can be fatal for your cat. Please support us and our video content, it will mean a lot to us if you subscribe to our channel! Thank you from both of us and Miki!
