It’s the beginning of September, and a lot of things have happened in our garden. It’s our second year growing vegetables on our land, and every month we learn something new. We still try to figure out what’s best to grow here - what thrives and what dies—because not everything you sow or plant will reward your work.

There are so many things around us that we can use as food, but we just do not pay attention because we do not know that we can use them. Nowadays, when the food prices are getting higher, many people return to such products as a part of their self-sufficient way of life.

Since we started gardening two years ago, our garden has been frequently visited by wild animals - roe deer, rabbits, and squirrels. All of them steal or eat what they find, but the worst thing is that sometimes they are just curious and destroy the plants and trees without even eating what they have crushed.

Nothing tastes better than homegrown veggies. July is the month when our garden is thriving. Most of the plants that we started from seeds grew enough, and we can harvest the fruits of our work.

A special delivery day! Miki is expecting a parcel :) - a box full of delicious treats. He always gets excited about boxes, but when the box is full of things that he loves to eat, that's another thing.
